There are many species of hermit crabs. Each has a unique color, or personality, or habit of some sort. The species of hermit crabs are: Purple Pinchers, Ecuadorians, Strawberries, Blueberries, Ruggies, Violas, and many more!Land hermit crabs and sea hermit crabs are way different. But I don't have much knowledge on sea hermit crabs. So I won't say anything about those. All species of hermit crabs are beautiful and amazing. You obviously know about Purple Pinchers if you read the care page.Ecuadorians are the most active out of all types of hermit crabs. They run very fast in all directions (frontward, backward, and side to side), and are very hyper.Fitting their personality, they are the smallest type of pet hermit crab available.Violas are very gentle and fun to have.Strawberry hermit crabs are very pretty and caring. They are gentle, as well as Violas, and seem to care about everything around them. the others are the same, except the Ruggie hermit crab.Ruggies are like Ecuadorians, but just not as hyper.Basically, all types of hermit crabs make great and fun pets.
